Special Credit Students

  1. step 1

    Complete your NC Residency Determination

All applicants are required to complete the North Carolina Residency Determination. Residency determination establishes if students will be charged in-state or out-of-state tuition. You must complete the NC Residency Determination before completing a college application.

  2. step 2

    Complete Map: Embark Assessment

Complete the MAP: Embark Assessment. The MAP: Embark Assessment will match your interests and abilities to academic programs here at CCCC.

When you meet with your Education Navigator, they will review your MAP: Embark Assessment results with you to make sure you are on the right path.

  3. step 3

    Apply to CCCC

    Complete your application online

Please be aware that some programs will have additional admissions requirements to be admitted into the specific academic program.

  4. step 4

    Submit Official Transcripts

Transcripts must be sent to CCCC directly from the high school and/or previous college(s) you attended.

Contact your high school and/or any previous colleges you attended to send official transcripts directly to the Student Onboarding and Success (formerly Admissions) office.

Central Carolina Community College does not process requests for GED transcripts. If you earned a GED in North Carolina, you can request a copy of your GED transcript by completing the North Carolina Community Colleges GED Office form and mailing or faxing it to the NC GED office.

If you are a home school student, the home school administrator must provide proof that the home school is certified by the North Carolina Department of Non-Public Instruction and standardized test scores.

  5. step 5

Pay tuition and fees by the Deadline

Apply for Scholarships - Scholarships are funds that may be based on merit and/or need.
