Nelnet Payment Plan Information
NELNET is a payment plan that allows you to spread out your tuition, fees, and book costs over time. This is not a loan program or financial aid. There is no interest or finance charges assessed, and there is no credit check. It is simply a bank-to-bank transfer of funds that you have pre-approved for your expenses at CCCC. Expenses covered include:
- Tuition & Fees
 - Required Books & Materials
- The cost of books will be added to your NELNET payment account.
 - Any changes could increase or decrease your monthly payment.
 - Once your NELNET account is set-up, work with the Bookstore to purchase your required books & materials.

Overview
You must enroll in NELNET every semester—plans do not carry over. Enroll by CCCC payment deadlines to avoid being dropped from your classes. There is a $300 minimum to enroll. Payment methods include:
- Automatic bank draft (ACH)
 - Credit/Debit Card

How to Enroll
Enroll in NELNET online using the QR code or visit the NELNET website. Please read the terms carefully before proceeding. To get started, you’ll need:
- A checking account, savings account, or debit/credit card
 - Your student ID number (required to apply your payments correctly)
 - An email address

Processing Time
- Once NELNET has processed your payment, it will take approximately 10 Business Days to be adjusted in your CCCC student account.
 - NELNET accounts are adjusted to reflect your actual amount due after the add/drop period ends. You will receive an email from NELNET once your account is adjusted showing your new monthly payment amount.

Insufficient Funds
- A $30 return fee is assessed by NELNET for insufficient funds. (This fee is not paid by CCCC.)
 - Down payments or enrollment fees returned for any reason will result in NELNET terminating your agreement, and you will not be able to use this service. Please plan accordingly.
 - If a payment on the 5th fails, it will be drafted again on the 20th. Payments continue until the balance is paid in full.
 - Terminated NELNET agreements will need to be paid at the Business Office window.
 - All collection policies apply to past-due NELNET accounts.
