Central Carolina Community College is committed to providing high-quality educational opportunities to our students. The goal of accreditation is to ensure that the educational programs provided by an institution of higher learning meet acceptable levels of quality. All curricular programs at CCCC are accredited through our institutional accrediting body, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Some programs have also been granted discipline-specific accreditations through national accrediting bodies.

The college was accredited by the North Carolina State Board of Education in 1970, by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in 1972 and reaffirmed in 1976, 1987, 1997, 2008, and 2018. CCCC is a member of the American Association of Community Colleges. Its trustees are members of the Association of Community College Trustees.

Demonstrating institutional quality assurance through accreditation is an ongoing process. At CCCC, we are committed to promoting an institutional “culture of evidence” to encourage continuous improvement college-wide.
