Carolina Student Transfer Excellence Program (C-STEP)

C-STEP (UNC-Chapel Hill) Transfer Partnership
There are many paths to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the Carolina Student Transfer Excellence Program (C-STEP) at CCCC is one of the best ways to transfer to and succeed at UNC‑Chapel Hill.
The goal of C-STEP is to help CCCC students be familiar with and academically prepared for UNC-Chapel Hill.
C-STEP guarantees CCCC students' ability to transfer to UNC-Chapel Hill's College of Arts and Sciences as long as participants maintain a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher at CCCC, actively participate in the program, and complete either an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree.
C-STEP students receive specialized advising and guidance while enrolled at CCCC to ensure that they take the necessary courses to prepare for their intended major at UNC-Chapel Hill before transferring.
Additional benefits of being a C-STEP student include trips to Chapel Hill for sporting, performing arts, and academic events.
Program Mission
C-STEP is an assured pathway for transferring to UNC-Chapel Hill. Through enhanced advising and special events, students are supported while attending CCCC and in their transition to and during their time at UNC-Chapel Hill.
