Our health sciences programs offer a rewarding educational experience designed to prepare students for fulfilling careers dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities. We offer a variety of classes, many that lead to state or national certification. We offer day and evening traditional/seated classes in all three counties (Chatham, Harnett and Lee), as well as hybrid/online options. Not all courses are offered every semester. Prerequisites and/or Requirements

Proof of prerequisites must be presented at time of registration for Health Sciences courses.

  • All Health Sciences programs require a High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Download the medical programs information packet for applicable courses including Nurse Aide I and Phlebotomy.
  • All Health Sciences students taking classes that require a clinical rotation are required to complete a Viewpoint Screening. Information is given upon registration.
  • Some courses may require specific immunizations to participate in clinical rotations.
  • Some courses may require basic computer skills, a personal computer, and access to the Internet.
