Professional Organizations

Professional organizations are vital to the advancement and stability of the veterinary technician profession. These organizations often give a voice to veterinary technicians both nationally and at the state level on legal, ethical, and professional issues. Continuing education, scholarships, networking, and career advancement are some additional benefits that come with joining a professional technician organization. Join a technician organization today and help your voice be heard!

National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America

The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) was formed with the goal of allowing veterinary technicians to give input on national issues involving the veterinary profession. Since then, NAVTA has grown and seen many successes, including the declaration of National Veterinary Technician Week, the formation of the Committee on Veterinary Technician Specialties, the development of a scholarship program and much more.

North Carolina Association of Veterinary Technicians

The North Carolina Association for Veterinary Technicians (NCAVT) advocates for the appropriate recognition and utilization of all roles in the veterinary community, including RVTs, assistants, and support staff. The organization also provides continuing education seminars, scholarships, and public outreach within the veterinary community.
