Transfer Credit at CCCC

At CCCC, we want to make sure you get the most out of the hard work you’ve already done. Whether you’re transferring from a two-year or a four-year institution, we’re here to help you apply your previous credits toward your current program of study and move closer to achieving your goals.

How to Transfer Your Credits

  1. Send Your Transcripts
Request official transcripts from all colleges or universities you’ve attended. Have them sent directly to CCCC’s Student Records and Registrar’s Office. Your transcripts will only be evaluated after all official transcripts have been received.
  2. Provide Additional Information if Needed
In some cases, we may need more details, such as course descriptions or syllabi, to determine if a course qualifies for credit. If this applies to you, we’ll reach out and guide you through what’s needed.
  3. Know the Time Limits
Some courses may not transfer due to time limitations specific to your program. If you have questions about this, we’re happy to help.
  4. Meet CCCC’s Credit Requirements
To earn your degree, diploma, or certificate at CCCC, at least 25% of your courses must be completed with us. You can transfer up to 75% of the credits needed for your program.

How Transfer Credits Are Evaluated

  • Credits are reviewed on a course-by-course basis to ensure they closely match the courses offered at CCCC.
  • Credits must meet the credit hours of the equivalent CCCC course to be eligible for transfer.
  • Once your transcripts are evaluated, we’ll notify you via email about which courses have been accepted for transfer.

Important to Note

  • Transfer credits do not affect your grade point average (GPA) at CCCC.
  • You’ll save time and money by applying your previous coursework toward your CCCC program.
