TEAS Exam & PN Predictor
The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) and PN Predictor are multiple-choice assessments of your basic knowledge in the areas of Reading, Math, Science, and English administered by the Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI). The ATI TEAS Exam and PN Predictor can be taken by CCCC students applying to these programs: Associate Degree Nursing, Practical Nursing, and Physical Therapy Assistant.
To schedule the exams, you will need to first be in touch with an Education Navigator to receive a permission form that will allow you to take the test.
Requirements and Guidelines
- Students must receive a permission form their Education Navigator to take the exam.
- Students may take the TEAS up to three times in a three-year period.
- Recommended placement test scores, other test scores, or all developmental courses completed with a "P" grade prior to taking the ATI TEAS
- Minimum composite score of 65
- Minimum Reading score of 70
- Must complete the PN Predictor
- Minimum Individual score of 80
- Students are allowed to take the PN Predictor 6 months after NCLEX pass date.
- Students are allowed 180 minutes to complete the PN Predictor.
- Students are allowed 3 attempts in a three-year period to pass the PN Predictor.
- After students are approved by their Education Navigator to take the PN Predictor, they are required to make a $65 payment with the CCCC Business Office.
- There are no additional requirements for Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Minimum Reading score of 58.7
Exam Preparation
You can purchase study guides and/or practice tests for both the TEAS and PN Predictor in each campus bookstore or check out a copy from the campus libraries. Also, you can purchase a study guide and/or practice test through the ATI Testing Website (click on online shop).
Testing Accommodations
Testing accommodations for students with a medical diagnosis or disability must be approved prior to scheduling an appointment for the ATI TEAS and PN Predictor exams. Please contact the Student Accessibility Services for approval.
Scheduling Your Exam
Speak with your Education Navigator and meet all requirements and guidelines.
The exam fee is payable to the Business Office. The cost of each exam is $65.00. Students are able to call the Business Office to pay for the exam at (919) 718-7517 or stop by. Please keep track of the receipt indicating payment of the exam fee. Students must present a receipt upon arriving for their scheduled exam date.

You should have the following information available when you schedule your exam:
- Student ID number
- Last 4 digits of SSN
- Program/major
- # TEAS taken
- Receipt number
Students must schedule an exam at least 48 hours prior to the exam date. To schedule your exam, contact one of our testing locations:

- Got to the ATI Website.
- Click the first box that says “I am preparing for or taking the TEAS” (even if you are taking the PN Predictor).
- Click Create an Account (top right corner).
- Your student ID number will be needed and is on your receipt from the business office.
- When you get to the question that asks for the institution, type in “Central Carolina” and select the option that has Health Sciences next to it.
- This is the username and password you will use on the day of the exam. Make a note of them.
Send your scores to CCCC
If selected for admittance, all students are required to log in to their ATI Account and request your scores be sent to "Central Carolina Health Sciences".
Central Carolina Community College accepts scores from the TEAS 7th Edition exam.
Cancellation/Late Arrivals Policy
Students may reschedule their ATI TEAS and PN Predictor test(s) prior to 48 hours (2 business days) from the start time of the test. If it is within 48 hours (2 business days) of the test start time, the fee already paid will be forfeited and the student must start the process over again by obtaining a new testing voucher and repaying the testing fee. Late arrivals forfeit testing fee and must obtain a new testing voucher, repay testing fee, and schedule a new test date.
