Transfer Courses for Visiting Students
We typically offer many classes for transfer students and visiting students (those who want to take one or more classes but not necessarily earn a degree from CCCC). Visiting students are former CCCC students, graduating high school students who want to get a jump start on their college coursework before they start at a college or university, or students who are currently enrolled in a college or university.
The following classes are available during our summer terms, one starting May 20th and the other on June 10th. Many classes are offered fully online. If you have questions about the application process, how and where our courses are offered, please contact our Student Onboarding and Advising Office.
FAQs
How will these classes transfer back to my North Carolina college or university?
Every college or university has a resource to help you understand the course equivalencies between community colleges and universities. For example, here are the pages for NC State, UNCG, UNC-CH, ECU, and UNCW.
It is recommended that you confirm with your college or university exactly how these courses would transfer back to your institution and how they would meet the requirements of your program or major.
Need additional help? Please use our Advising Assistance form and indicate you want assistance in evaluating classes for transfer.

Do I need to apply to take classes at CCCC? Do I need to submit transcripts from my current institution?
Yes, you do have to be either an active student (taken classes in fall 2023 or spring 2024) or you will need to apply, which you can do online.
Transcripts may be needed, depending on what class(es) you want to take. Courses that will likely require a transcript are indicated.

Can I use financial aid for summer courses?
There are some circumstances when you may be able to apply summer aid for your summer courses. You can contact our Financial Aid Office to see if you may be able to use your aid. Even if you cannot, our courses are very affordable and tend to be 60-80% less expensive than the same university courses.
