Graduates of nursing programs can expect to find employment in the Lee, Harnett, and Chatham regions, as well as throughout the state and nation.

UNC System RN to BSN Programs

Central Carolina Community College is proud to announce participation in the uniform articulation agreement with the University of North Carolina RN to BSN programs. This is an affordable pathway that will allow registered nurses to meet the requirements needed to enter into a RN to BSN program.

Mission Statement

The nursing program of Central Carolina Community College supports the missions of the North Carolina Community College System and CCCC. The faculty is committed to providing high quality nursing education designed to promote the development of nursing students to be prepared for the role of an entry level professional registered nurse who is qualified to meet the diverse health-care of the service area.

The graduate of the nursing programs at CCCC has met the educational competencies set by CCCC and defined by the National League for Nursing, the Nursing Practice Act of North Carolina, and the Institute of Medicine. Graduates meet the requirements to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination. The practice of the nurse is evidence-based and directed toward meeting the health care needs of the individuals throughout their lifespan.

Nursing is a science and the art of integrating and assimilating knowledge and skills derived from biological, sociological, and behavioral sciences and information technology to deliver client-centered, culturally competent, holistic care. Through caring, empathy, ethics, and the development of a therapeutic relationship with the individual and significant support person(s), the nurse integrates the art of nursing with the scientific foundation for nursing practice that utilizes the nursing process. Incorporating documented best practice, the nurse functions autonomously and collaboratively to insure quality client outcomes, promotion of wellness, prevention of illness, and the restoration of health or the assistance in achieving a dignified death.
