
CCCC Small Business Center Hosts Central Carolina Procurement Summit starting April 8
SANFORD, N.C. — Central Carolina Community Small Business Center, Fayetteville-Cumberland Regional Entrepreneur and Business HUB, and UNC at Chapel Hill’s NC Growth are partnering with regional agencies to host the three-day Central Carolina Procurement Summit in Sanford, N.C., April 8-10.
The procurement summit will be at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic & Conference Center, 1801 Nash St., from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day, and is supported by:
- Central Carolina Community College
- Lee and Chatham Counties
- Cities of Sanford and Dunn
- And more
The summit aims to help local, minority, women-owned, and veteran-owned small businesses build the capacity to apply for and win contracts. This is an opportunity to bring together local small businesses with large government agencies to learn about upcoming procurement opportunities within the Central Carolina region and engage directly with procurement managers.
Empowering local businesses to access government contracts fuels economic growth and community sustainability. By spending these dollars in the local community, the dollars circulate from one local business to another, creating greater economic impact, and ultimately improving the local tax base, which results in greater services and infrastructure, and ultimately prosperity for all.
The objective of the Small Business Center is to increase the success rate and the number of viable small businesses in North Carolina by providing high quality, ready-accessible assistance to prospective and existing small business owners which will lead to job creation and retention.
