
CCCC honors athletes at awards banquet
SANFORD, N.C. - Central Carolina Community College celebrated its 2024–2025 student-athletes at the annual Athletics Banquet Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 16, at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic & Conference Center in Sanford.
Here is a list of all award winners:
Basketball – Defensive Player of Year: Dontavious Pettaway; Coach's Award: Keon Lassiter; Cougar of the Year: Jackson Lavengood; Sophomore of the Year: Kendrell Brooks; MVP: Ma'Kyi Butler.
Cross Country – Most Outstanding Runner: Kyle Graves.
Volleyball – Offensive Player of Year: McKensie Boyte; Defensive Player of Year: Carley Marcum; Cougar of the Year: Camryn Seagraves; MVP: Johnna Lawrence.
National Junior College Athletic Association All-Region Academic Awards:
Basketball: Amari Clarke, Kamil Harrison, Keon Lassiter, Izeir Mayben, Jesse Mitchell, Dontavious Pettaway, Jaden Rice, Thomas Stafford, Brandon Temple.
Cross Country: Kyle Graves.
Volleyball: Parker Howard, Abby Johnson, Johnna Lawrence, Camryn Seagraves.
