Bio
Coach Mcdougald was born and raised in Sanford, NC. He graduated high school from Grace Christian, where he was also the Head Men's basketball coach for two years before coming to Central Carolina in 2015. He is entering his 4th year as the Head Coach for the Cougars.
Coach McDougald played at the University of Mount Olive from 2001-2004. "Basketball has been a tremendous blessing, taking me many places and taught me many things to carry over in life".
Coach McDougald's philosophy and approach is to help his players develop both on and off the court to further their career of being a student athlete. He believes that with hard work, self-discipline and consistency, that players and young men can reach their goals.
Coach McDougald is married to Jessica-Smith McDougald. They have two wonderful daughters, McKenzy and McKayla. McKenzy was born in 2008 and McKayla in 2009. They have a BIG family dog named Mac.
