The HFS Students invite students, faculty and staff to attend a "October 32" Fun Run, Walk, Jog or Meander around a trail designed by the HFS students to enjoy one more day of Halloween activity.  Participants are encouraged to wear their Halloween gear one more day for enjoyment as they enjoy some time running, walking, jogging or strolling one mile.

Join David Flatley, HMC English instructor, for an interactive workshop on creative writing techniques. This is a great opportunity to try something new or to get started on a new writing project!

Light snacks will be available at the event. 

This event takes place on Wednesday, November 8 @ 1 p.m. in the Harnett Main Campus Library

CCCC's Academic & Cultural Enrichment Series (ACES) and the Arts Career Community presents NC Opera's "Opera Out of the Box." This 45-minute program is engaging and entertaining and created specifically for school and community audiences. Learn about the art form of classical song. The audience will be introduced to "opera's greatest hits." Four singers, representing the main operatic voice types, perform arias, duets and ensembles from Carmen, The Magic Flute, Rigoletto, and other well-known operas. The program concludes with “Is it Opera?,” a quiz in which the singers present famous tunes often heard in commercial media.

Master Jeromie Jackson, local martial arts instructor, will provide a self-defense seminar hosted by the HFS students.  

Come into the Powell Building Gym to burn off some of that extra turkey you may have eaten over the holiday and learn a bit about self defense as you prepare for holiday shopping and sales. Mastor Jackson is a local martial arts expert and will be taking suggestions from the participants on what they wish to know about keeping themselves safe in a series of scenarios.
