Mechanical Engineering Technology

STEM
Design, build, and innovate with a career in mechanical systems.
What You’ll Learn
This is a hands-on degree program that introduces students to the design, development, testing, process, and improvement of mechanical products. After learning the technology used in the engineering industry to draw and design products, students are able to apply those skills and bring products to life with 3D printers and other fabrication techniques.
This certificate gives students the fundamentals of understanding computer-aided drafting and design.
In this certificate program, students learn the basics for three-dimensional solid modeling and design software. They are introduced to advanced computer-aided drafting applications.
Why Study Mechanical Engineering Technology at CCCC?
Cross Departmental Project Collaboration
The Mechanical Engineering Technology and the Electronic Engineering Technology students team up for collaboration on a joint project of the students’ choosing. This allows students to be innovative and creative, work with others in a team, problem solve, and create something from their own design.
Take Ideas to Product
Students have the opportunity to create their own product from design and drawing to production using a variety of technology.
Hands-on Learning
Students have the opportunity to work with a variety of 3D printers, laser engravers, and other equipment in the lab.
