The Information Technology Programming certificate offers students an introduction to web technologies and the fundamentals of programming. Topics covered include C++, Python, HTML, CSS, and JAVA.  The program can be completed by taking courses part-time for two semesters.

The Information Technology Database Programming certificate offers students an introduction to intermediate database technologies including data definition, data manipulation, and data control statements as well as on report generation. Students will also study topics including web technologies and programming, Microsoft Access, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JAVA.

The Information Technology Internet Computing Core aligns to the IC3 certificate.  Students will learn the basics of hardware and software, including Microsoft Windows administration. They will also learn the fundamentals of networking. The program can be completed over two semesters by a part-time student.

Broad Range of Technologies 

This program is designed to expose students and to help develop a foundational knowledge of the various information technologies used by business and other large organizations.  The program includes electives which allow students to further explore programming languages or areas of information technology that are most interesting to them.

Strong Foundation

There are many specialties within the realm of Information Technology which are used in business. This program allows students exposure to various categories so that they have the flexibility to start in a broad array of entry-level positions. Typically, students will start in a support role. Over time they will use the foundational knowledge gained in this program to enhance and accelerate their skills in their chosen IT specialty. 

Get Certified

Many courses in the program align to industry credentials. Examples of certificates and companies offering them include: A+, Microsoft, Red Hat, and Cisco.  Although not required for graduation, students are given the opportunity to obtain many of these certifications should they wish. These in-demand certifications significantly enhance employability once a student graduates from the program.
