What You’ll Learn
The Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree is designed for students who are pursuing a career that requires a four-year degree in a social science, liberal arts, business, or related field. In addition to completing general education coursework requirements, this degree allows socially engaged, creative students the flexibility to choose electives that align with their intended major, transfer university, and career goal. Through North Carolina’s statewide Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA), successful completion of this degree ensures a smooth transfer and guarantees admissions to one of the 16 UNC institutions as long as students follow the appropriate transfer guides. The A.A. degree may be completed through seated or online classes or a blend of both.
