What You’ll Learn
This degree prepares students to work at a large company, small company, CPA firm, an accounting firm, or government agency, such as the City of Sanford or Department of Revenue. Students will be ready to work on bookkeeping, tax returns, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or payroll. This program also prepares students to continue their educational path to a four-year college.
The diploma is intended for students who are looking for an entry-level position in bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or accounts payable. It is a way for students to get in the door and grow with the company and later obtain an associate degree.
This certificate is for students who are solely focused on completing tax returns for a small CPA firm or a franchise tax service like H&R Block. Students will return to get their associate degree to further their career and education for promotions or if they are looking to go to a four-year college.

Our curriculum is based on preparing students for the real world. They will use the same software that is used by businesses and CPA firms. Students get hands-on experience with Excel, QuickBooks,, and Lacerte Tax Software preparing individual tax returns.
