About

Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) is a public two-year college and member of the NC Community College System. CCCC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). SACSCOC is the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern states. In order to maintain its membership with SACSCOC, CCCC must develop, implement, and complete a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).

SACSCOC Articles of Accreditation - Standard 2.12

The institution has developed an acceptable Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) that includes an institutional process for identifying key issues emerging from institutional assessment and focuses on learning outcomes and/or the environment supporting student learning and accomplishing the mission of the institution.

SACSCOC Comprehensive Standard 3.3.2

The institution has developed a Quality Enhancement Plan that (1) demonstrates institutional capability for the initiation, implementation, and completion of the QEP; (2) includes broad-based involvement of institutional constituencies in the development and proposed implementation of the QEP; and (3) identifies goals and a plan to assess their achievement.

What is a QEP?

QEP stands for Quality Enhancement Plan.

Why do we need a QEP?

CCCC is accredited by SACSCOC, which requires the college to submit a Quality Enhancement Plan as a part of the accreditation reaffirmation.

What is the focus of CCCC's QEP?

The topic will be selected by the campus community in Fall 2015.
