New Student Programs
At Central Carolina Community College (CCCC), New Student Programs help students transition smoothly into college life, build a strong sense of community, and explore all that the campus has to offer. We provide a variety of initiatives aimed at fostering academic success, personal growth, and meaningful connections.
From the Brothers of Excellence, Sisters in Success, and NC Reconnect programs, which offer mentorship and support, to the C2 College Connections Summer Bridge Program that supports students as they transition to college, our programs are tailored to meet the diverse needs of our student body. Additionally, our "How to Thrive at CCCC" series and Week of Welcome (WOW) events ensure that new and returning students feel welcomed, supported, and prepared in their educational journey.
Join us at CCCC, where we are committed to inspiring and empowering every student to achieve their full potential.
Ask Me Welcome Program
Have a question? Need help with your student experience, or need assistance navigating our campus? The Ask Me Team can help! Our "Ask Me" Welcome Program consists of faculty and staff members dedicated to helping students successfully launch their Fall and Spring semesters. Look for volunteers wearing yellow "Ask Me" buttons and matching t-shirts on all three main campuses during the first three days of the semester.
Brothers of Excellence
As part of our institutional strategic mission, CCCC is committed to supporting and assisting students in achieving their educational goals. The Brothers of Excellence program, part of the Minority Male Success Initiative, focuses on providing support, mentorship, and resources to help students excel academically and personally. This program is dedicated to fostering leadership, resilience, and academic excellence among minority male students.
C2 College Connections Summer Bridge Program
The C2 College Connections Summer Bridge Program is an eight-week transition program that helps incoming students adjust to college life. This program includes community-building activities, academic enrichment, and co-curricular learning opportunities. Students engage and connect through workshops, campus tours, and social events designed to create a strong foundation for their college journey. Participants also have the opportunity to earn college credit through the ACA 122 course and participate in activities that connect them with campus resources and peers.
How to Thrive at CCCC
The "How to Thrive at CCCC" program supports the holistic development and success of students through a series of engaging and informative events throughout the semester. The program includes workshops on time management, study skills, goal setting, physical wellness, and mental health awareness. Additional events such as career exploration fairs, community engagement activities, and financial literacy workshops provide comprehensive support to enhance the overall student experience.
