CCCC hosts first of three Robotics workshops

SANFORD - The first of three Robotics workshop kicked off on the Central Carolina Community College Lee Campus on Saturday, March 19, as part of the High Tech - High Touch Weekend Workshops. The Robotics workshops are designed to introduce students to electronics and engineering in a fun, hands-on environment.
In teams, each student, parent and/or family member, under the guidance of Sandra Castonguay (Lead Instructor, Electronic Engineering) and Randall Griffith (mentor), built a wireless remote control Titan Tank.
Workshop participants were Elizabeth "Liz" Blasko, Nathan Carson, Aubrey Dew, Jack Douglass, Colin Gaines, Zachary Holub, Brenlyn and Madalyn Hudson, Chelsea and Reginal Johnson, Charles Keller, Jake Mauldin, Jacobs Riggs, Wyatt Tucker, and Andrew Vincent. Parents and family members provided support during the workshop.
Future High Tech - High Touch Robotics workshops will be held Saturday, April 16, at the CCCC Harnett Campus in Lillington (Bob Etheridge Building) and Saturday, May 14, at the CCCC Chatham Campus in Pittsboro (Building 2).
