Players sign for CCCC Cougar Men's Basketball

Click to enlarge,  Central Carolina Community College Cougars' Men's Basketball has signed some exciting freshmen talent for the upcoming season, including (pictured, from left) guards Brandon Opara, of Concord, Norman Aiken, of Spindale, and Nick Scholfield, of Statesville. Also recently signed are guards Deinzel Greene, of Concord, Deion Gilchrist, of St. Paul's, and Josh Lee, of Sanford; as well as forwards Kalon Buchanan, of Hopewell, and Rickey Porter, of Charlotte. Head men's basketball coach Doug Connor is looking forward to a good season. 2013-14 is Connor's eighth year in that position. During that time, he has coached more than 20 players that have gone on to play basketball at 18 different NCAA Division I, II, and III colleges and universities. CCCC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III's Region X, which includes North and South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
