"What They Never Told Me About Being a Man"

Central Carolina Community College's Men of Academic Distinction and Excellence (MADE) and Sandhills Community College's MOVE programs co-sponsor 'What They Never Told Me About Being a Man,' 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, March 23, in the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center, 1801 Nash St., Sanford. Motivational speakers Kwain Bryant and Tawan Perry will present workshops: 'Can I pull up my pants and still be a trend? (Am I really ready for the real world, the challenge of fitting in?)' and 'What they never told me about being a man: dealing with getting past family failures, from high school to college, and college to the real world.' The event is open to all high school and college students, as well as the public. Admission is free. Lunch will be provided. For more information, call (919) 718-7505 or (919) 935-3438.
