Wicker Civic Center, in Sanford. The students created fashions and hairdos inspired by the past or fantasy. Clark puts the finishing touches on the models for her creations, who are also her family: sister Angela Chalmers (left) dressed in fashion that Clark described as either ‘Japanese Fantasy’ or ‘Skittles’; mother Angie Clark (seated) in fancy dress for evening wear; and brother Elijah Woodson (front), dressed as Pinocchio. Clark graduates from the Cosmetology program in May. She plans to continue at the college, using her income from cosmetology to pay for her education in the Veterinary Medical Technology associate degree program.
