CCCC West Harnett Center offers vegetable production class

SANFORD -An Introduction to Sustainable Vegetable Production class will be held at Central Carolina Community College’s West Harnett Center from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Tuesdays from June 9 through Aug. 18 (no class June 23).
The continuing education course will discuss herbs, cut flowers, and summer vegetable crops. It will also cover weed management, insect and disease prevention, cover crops and crop rotation.
An N.C. Tobacco Trust Fund Project Skill-UP grant pays for the enrollment fee, textbook, and a kit of garden tools and supplies for class members. Those who are interested but may have to miss one or two classes are still welcome to enroll.
