SANFORD - Exciting and innovative hair styling takes the spotlight when the Cosmetology/Esthetics and Barbering departments of Central Carolina Community College present a student hair fashion show, “Intrigue,” at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center.

The event, from 11 a.m-3:30 p.m. Monday, April 6, features a hair design competition among the departments’ students from the college’s programs at its Lee and Harnett county campuses, Western Harnett center and Dunn program.

The competition starts at 11 a.m. Categories include haircuts, hair color, fantasy, bridal, and baby doll, displayed both on live models and mannequins. Trophies will be awarded for first, second and third places.

Admission is free. Hairdressers and salon owners from Harnett, Lee, Wake and Johnston counties are attending and the public is invited. The students will entertain with line dancing and an opening song. Light refreshments will be served.
