NCASAM donates to Central Carolina Vet Tech program

Dr. Tom Needham (second from right), president of the North Carolina Academy of Small Animal Medicine, presents a $1,000 check from the academy to Central Carolina Community College President Bud Marchant (second from left), representing the CCCC Foundation. The donation to the foundation is to benefit the college’s Veterinary Medical Technology program. The presentation was made during the NCASAM’s Dec. 3 conference at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center, in Sanford. Also at the presentation were Ken Hoyle, Vice President of Student Services (left) and Dr. Paul Porterfield, Chairman of the VMT program. The donation will be used for unanticipated expenses in the program.
