CCCC Foundation Golf Classic coming to Lee County

SANFORD, N.C. - Golfers, grab your clubs for a day of fun and fellowship for a good cause as the Central Carolina Community College Foundation hosts its 35th Annual Lee County Golf Classic on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the Sanford Municipal Golf Course.

The proceeds from the Golf Classic will be used to help provide scholarships and other financial assistance.

Trey Williams is tournament chairman. Other tournament committee members are Mikeal Basinger, Tana Boerger, Alexandra Dowdy, Dr. Emily C. Hare, Jon Hockaday, Tom Joyner, Chas Post, Bobby Powell, John Ramsperger, Lynda Turbeville, Abby Walker, and CCCC President Dr. Lisa M. Chapman.

Shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., with lunch from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

The format for the Lee County Golf Classic is four-person Captain's Choice Flighted. Prizes will be awarded to top teams in each flight.

Four-person team packages include green fees, cart rental, two mulligans per player, prizes, refreshments, and lunch. Sponsorships are available at various levels: a $1000 Platinum Sponsor includes two foursomes and sponsorship recognition; a $600 Gold Sponsor includes one foursome and sponsorship recognition; and a $300 Silver Sponsor includes sponsorship recognition only.

"We are so grateful for the support we have received in Lee County," said Dr. Emily C. Hare, Executive Director of the CCCC Foundation. "Lee County has given so much to us and we will use funds raised in the tournament to go directly back to our students, faculty, and staff. We look forward to the event and hope everyone will come out and join us!"

The CCCC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization affiliated with, but independent of, Central Carolina Community College.
