SANFORD, N.C. - Central Carolina Community College will host a Veterans Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic & Conference Center in Sanford, N.C.

The event is open to the public.

Guest speaker will be Dan Gurley, Air Force Veteran who serves as Deputy Chief of Staff for N.C. Speaker of the House Tim Moore.

Jennifer Dillon, CCCC Director of TRiO Veterans Upward Bound, says the ceremony is an important way for the college to recognize its own veterans and show others across the community that the college supports them and offers a welcoming educational opportunity during and after their military service.
