CCCC announces BLET graduates

SANFORD - Seven individuals are among the most recent graduates of the Central Carolina Community College Basic Law Enforcement Training program.

The graduates are Jessica R. Bowles of Olivia, Lindsey G. Champion of Erwin, Joshua M. Lett of Sanford, Curtis M. Massey of Coats, Brandyn D. McReady of Garner, Alexandria B. Woodall of Benson, and Henry J. Yale of Cameron.

A ceremony to honor the graduates was held at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at the CCCC Harnett Main Campus in Lillington.

Several of the graduates were recognized for outstanding achievement during their training. They were: Most Improved Physical Fitness - Lindsey G. Champion; Fastest Police Officers Physical Abilities Test (POPAT) - Chase/ Apprehension - Joshua M. Lett; Fastest Police Officers Physical Abilities Test (POPAT) - Rescue - Joshua M. Lett; Jimmy Collins Top Gun Award - Joshua M. Lett; Highest Class Average - Alexandria B. Woodall; and Highest State Exam - Alexandria B. Woodall.

Sayed Naqwe, Deputy Sheriff with the Harnett County Sheriff's Office, was guest speaker. Class Response was by Henry Yale, Class Leader. Welcome was by Neil Ambrose, CCCC Director of Basic Law Enforcement.

Ambrose and Lt. Travis Daggett of the Harnett County Sheriff's Office awarded the graduation certificates.

Class sponsors were the Chatham County Sheriff's Office, Harnett County Sheriff's Office, Broadway Police Department, and instructors from Harnett County Sheriff's Office, Chatham County Sheriff's Office, Lee County Sheriff's Office, N.C. State Highway Patrol and Apex Police Department.
