Due to the seriousness of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) global pandemic, Central Carolina Community College facilities are closed to the public and students -- effective March 18 -- until further notice.
"In these challenging times our college is striving to best protect the health and well-being of our students, employees and our communities, while still doing everything we can to maintain our services to our students. We appreciate the patience and support of all," said CCCC President Dr. Lisa M. Chapman.
Beginning March 23, to the greatest extent possible, most in-person courses will be moved to an online format. Computer lab and in-person library access will be reinstated for students as soon as possible.
The list of face-to-face classes moving online were posted on the CCCC homepage March 18. Instructors are communicating expectations via Blackboard and Cougarmail.
Although some classes and labs will meet in-person at a future date, no in-person class meetings will occur until further notice.
Students who do not regularly use Blackboard and are new to distance learning can learn how to navigate online learning by reviewing the resources and videos at www.cccc.edu/distanceeducation/current-students. Students who require additional assistance with getting started via distance education can reach out to email@example.com with any questions.
The Student Services Department has established virtual office hours to discuss students' challenges with online learning and/or to get assistance with additional resources. Find details at www.cccc.edu/
admissions/contacts. The Coronavirus response page will be updated soon with a comprehensive set of student services offered to students as the college transitions temporarily to mostly online learning.
The college's President's Council meets virtually daily to reassess the situation and review further measures as developments warrant.
Central Carolina Community College will continue to post updates on its Coronavirus response page at www.cccc.edu/coronavirus.
