Veterans Day will be observed at CCCC's Siler City Center

SILER CITY - Veterans Day will be observed on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Central Carolina Community College Siler City Center. This event will begin at 10 a.m.

The program will be led by Jay Stobbs, a retired Army veteran from Chatham County. Other guests will be military veterans Thomas Glendinning (Marines), Dennis Lewis (Army), and Andy Wilkie (Army).

Music will be provided by the Jordan-Matthews High School Band under the direction of Justin Harper.

The observance is intended to offer gratitude for deserving men and women who have served and continue to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces and for the year-round sacrifices of service members and their families.

The event is free and open to the public.
