Jeff Cathcart, Commander of American Legion Post 93 in Siler City, told those attending the Veterans Day program held Nov. 3 at the CCCC Siler City Center: "The bottom line is, veterans have given us freedom, security, and the greatest nation on earth. It is impossible to put a price on that. But we can remember them ... we can appreciate them, and we can honor their service and the sacrifices they've made on our behalf."

Siler City Police Chief Gary Tyson, who served in the Marine Corps Reserve from 1985-1993, participated in the Veterans Day program held Nov. 3 at the CCCC Siler City Center.

Chatham County resident Dr. J. George Chall, who was a World War II Army medic in the Battle of the Bulge, participated in the Veterans Day program held Nov. 3 at the CCCC Siler City Center.

Kyle Talbott, a Post-9/11 Navy veteran who teaches English as a Second Language at the CCCC Siler City Center and also Spanish/College prep classes for Veterans Upward Bound, participated in the Veterans Day program held Nov. 3 at the CCCC Siler City Center.
