Dr. Karen Allen, Central Carolina Community College's Chatham County provost since 1996, welcomes graduating students and guests to the college's June 19 Adult High School/GED graduation at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center, in Sanford. Allen retired June 30 after a 26-year career with the college. She had also taught four years at Randolph Community College, for a total of 30 years of service to adult learners with the North Carolina Community College System.
