CCCC honors foundation donors, florist Eddie Baker

Eddie Baker (left), owner of floral designs by eddie, in Sanford, receives a recognition plaque from Central Carolina Community College President Bud Marchant during the June 12 CCCC Foundation's Sweet Celebration reception for donors to the college. Marchant thanked Baker for his generous partnership with the college over the years by providing floral arrangements and other assistance for many events. The CCCC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization affiliated with, but independent of the college. It receives donations of money and equipment on behalf of the college and uses them to promote its educational mission and assist students through scholarships and grants. Support for Central Carolina Community College's educational mission and its students received a sweet thank-you at the CCCC Foundation's annual Sweet Celebration reception, held June 12 at Cafe 121 in downtown Sanford. Among the foundation donors and other college supporters gathered were (clockwise, from left) Ed Garrison, former college trustee, of Sanford; Virginia Hester, of Sanford; Linda Scuiletti, CCCC dean of Institutional Effectiveness; and Kay Garrison, and Dot Hubbard, both of Sanford.
