Sculptor Edwin White (at table, starting third from left), landscape architect and environmental sculptor Jim Davis, mosaic artist and musician LaNelle Davis, and natural landscape specialist and Central Carolina Community College instructor Andy Upshaw, as well as CCCC sculpture and sustainability students, were among those who gathered at a Jan. 23 Sculpture in the Environment (SITE) workshop at the college's Chatham County Campus, in Pittsboro. Participants came up with ideas for site-specific sculptures that would fit the college's environment, topography, and natural resources. The college and SITE Committee host a public information and discussion session about the suggested sculpture models and the SITE program from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, in the Chatham Community Library's Holmes Meeting Room, 197 N.C. Highway 87, on the Chatham Campus. For more information, contact Diane Pettus at 919-542-7014 or by email at dianedebarpettus@gmail.com/.
