Lee Early College students learn Earth-friendly practices

Lee Early College freshman Jamie Guillergan shows off her project during teacher Mallory Nickel's Earth and Environmental Science class' sustainability studies. The class learned about the complexities of sustaining the environment, held a sustainability fair and made personal decisions on leaving a smaller carbon footprint on the Earth. LEC is a partnership between Central Carolina Community College and Lee County Schools. Students enroll as ninth graders and earn both a high school diploma and an associate degree.
