Golf Classic aces it for CCCC Foundation

The 24th Annual Central Carolina Community College Foundation Golf Classic, held Sept. 18 at the Sanford Golf Course, raised more than $37,000. The foursome of (from left) Candy Bloedorn, Tony Bloedorn, Joffree Bradley, and Phil Bradley, sponsored by Sears of Sanford, were part of a three-way tie for First Place in the afternoon First Flight with a score of 54. Forty-nine teams of four players each participated in Shotgun Rounds in either the morning or afternoon. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization affiliated with, but independent of, the college. It receives donations of money and equipment on behalf of CCCC and uses them to promote the educational mission of the college and assist students through scholarships and grants.
