Natasha Patterson, Outreach Specialist for the Veterans Upward Bound program at Central Carolina Community College, is a former Marine sergeant. The VUB project helps veterans re-enter the educational environment. The goal is to increase the rate at which they enroll in and complete postsecondary education programs.
