CCCC graduates eight from night BLET program

Central Carolina Community College's Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) evening program graduated eight cadets during a ceremony May 8 at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center. Pictured (from left) are graduates Donnie Montgomery, of Sanford, Ariana Alvarez, of Willow Spring, Alberto Estrada and James Donnell, both of Sanford, Chief Gary Blankenship, of the Chatham County Sheriff's Office, and graduates Jonathan Thompson, of Bennett, Kevin Ennis, of Fuquay Varina, and Travis Poole and Alejandro Lezama, both of Sanford. Several of the graduates were recognized for outstanding achievement during their training: Most Improved Physical Training - Travis Poole; Highest Course Grade Point Average - Kevin Ennis; Highest State Exam GPA - Alberto Estrada; and Jimmy Collins Top Gun Award and Best Police Officers Physical Abilities Test (POPAT) - Jonathan Thompson.
