Charlee Cougar is the readily recognized mascot for Central Carolina Community College at college and community events. Inside that furry suit is sophomore David Green, who enjoys adding fun to any occasion. Green, a second-year Criminal Justice student, is a decorated combat veteran who served in Afghanistan in 2009. He jokes that his tour of duty in the Middle East has made it easy for him to endure the internal 125-degree temperature that the Charlee costume can reach after being worn for a while.
