CCCC hosts 50th celebration at Harnett Campus

CCCC Harnett Provost Bill Tyson shows off an attractive storage shed, one of the more than 100 pieces of handcrafted indoor and outdoor furniture, metalwork, home decor, yard decorations, outdoor storage facilities, and other items available at the 12th Annual CCCC Foundation Furniture Auction. The Auction is part of Central Carolina Community College's 50th Anniversary celebration, which takes place 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at the college's Harnett County Campus, 1075 E. Cornelius Harnett Blvd., Lillington. The celebration also features a Barbecue Cook-off, free health screenings, demonstrations by the Laser & Photonics and Machining students, and free haircuts. Don't miss the Barbecue Cook-Off during Central Carolina Community College's 50th Anniversary celebration June 2 at the college's Harnett County Campus, 1075 E. Cornelius Harnett Blvd., Lillington. Teams of community members from Angier, Coats, Dunn and Lillington will prepare their own special recipes for mouth-watering chopped barbecue pork. Following the Cook-off, event goers can enjoy barbecue pork sandwiches while the supply lasts.
