The Central Carolina Community College Foundation has launched its 2012 Annual Fund Drive to raise money for student scholarships and emergency assistance, provide grants to faculty and staff for needs not covered by state and local budgets, and other uses. In 2011, the Foundation awarded scholarships to 180 students, among them Christopher Godfrey (center), of Sanford, who received the J. Shelton and Clarice Wicker Scholarship. At the 2011 Foundation Scholarship Luncheon, he was able to meet Harrison Wicker (left) and his mother, Alisa Wicker, who represented the scholarship donors at the luncheon. The 2012 Drive continues through the rest of the year.
