Displaced worker gains confidence, career

Being laid off opened new opportunities for Karen Frazier, of Chatham County. After 20 years at a chicken processing plant in Siler City, Frazier was able to attend Central Carolina Community College with help from the federally funded Triangle South Workforce Development Board, located at the college in Lee County. Frazier earned an associate degree in medical office administration and has found a good job she enjoys.
