CCCC SBC helps dog trainer establish business

Valerie Broadway, owner of Canine Coaching Services, in Siler City, takes a stroll on a sunny day at Central Carolina Community College’s Chatham County Campus with her dog, Pip (left), and two of her client dogs, Frizz (center), and Harley (right). Broadway, who was laid off from a bioprocessing job in 2008, turned an interest in dog training into a thriving small business with the help of the college’s Chatham Small Business Center and its director, Gary Kibler.
