CCCC celebrates summer graduation

Teddy Byrd, chairman of the Harnett County Board of Commissioners, delivered the commencement address Friday at Central Carolina Community College’s 45th Annual Summer Commencement Exercises. He urged the graduating class to strive for their best. A crowd of approximately 1,000 family members and friends attended the exercise, held in the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center, to celebrate the graduating students’ achievements. During the summer, 89 students completed degrees, 102 earned diplomas, and 84, certificates. About 150 graduating students took part in the exercises.
