Chris George (center), who was the Most Outstanding Sophomore on the Central Carolina Community College 2018-19 men's basketball team, has signed to play with Bluefield College in Bluefield, Va. George, a 6-foot-3 forward who played at Cape Fear High School in Cumberland County, averaged 11.2 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for the CCCC Cougars. Pictured with George are Central Carolina Community College Men's Basketball Coach Brad McDougald (left) and Bluefield College Assistant Coach Ryan Moody (right). Coach McDougald said of George: "Chris has been a fantastic young man his two years here. Chris has done all the right things, and is a positive influence to those around him. He embodies what Cougar basketball is all about. It's been an absolute privilege to coach him and have him as part of this program."
