H. Julian Philpott Jr. (center), Chairman of the Central Carolina Community College Board of Trustees, recently received The Order of the Long Leaf Pine, a prestigious award given by the Governor of North Carolina. Philpott is a corporate attorney who has spent the last 30 years working as a lobbyist and general counsel for the nonprofit North Carolina Farm Bureau Federation and its affiliated companies. He is now a Senior Partner with Hayes Group Consulting. Pictured with Philpott are two other members of the CCCC Board of Trustees who also have received The Order of the Long Leaf Pine -- State Sen.
