New Student Programs
Early Arrival Program
Student Onboarding and Success hosts a variety of Early Arrival Programs supporting student success. We are offering two types for the Summer of 2023. This program will be offered August 1- August 2nd. If you are interested in learning more about each program, please read more about each program below. This application will serve as an application for both programs listed below. All students can apply, but each program is focused on supporting the specific target population listed:
Minority Male Success Initiative: Academic Kick Off!
This is a two day in person program for incoming first-year minority male students that prepares students for college life by providing educational and resourceful workshops, engaging presentations, and team-building activities before the start of the school year.
Program Location: Bell Hall
Time: 9am-12:15pm

- Brothers of Excellence: Top 5 Tools to Increase Your Success
NC Reconnect-Igniting Success!
This is a two-day in person program for NC Reconnect students and returning adult learners that provides educational and resourceful workshops, engaging presentations, and team-building activities before the start of the school year.
Program Location: Bell Hall
Time: 9am-12:15pm

- Next Steps: Career Prep & Planning
- Financial Planning & Literacy-Investments, Retirement Planning /Saving, Budgeting, etc.
- Test Taking Skills
- Stress Management & Self Care
- Technology 101: Crash Course in Tech For Academic Success
