Enrichment

Central Carolina Community College's Continuing Education Department offers enrichment programs and classes that enhance the quality of life and improve life skills, from glassblowing to defensive driving. Programs and classes are offered in the following areas:

Artistry and Craftsmanship

Creativity blossoms in hands-on arts and crafts continuing education classes. From basket weaving to welding, the classes attract adults who want to nourish and express the artist within. Some classes are also offered for teenagers.

The classes are non-curriculum and no grades are given. Just relax and relish the joy of creating. The cost varies, depending on the class. Some have a materials fee.

New classes are added based on community interest. Most are taught in Chatham County, at the college's campus in Pittsboro, in Siler City at the Siler City Center, N.C. Arts Incubator, Sage Academy, or at an artist's studio.

Defensive Driving

Driving safely means more than knowing the rules of the road. They show you how to drive proactively and be more aware of what is happening around you. This can minimize the chances that someone else's mistake will involve you in an accident.

The college offers both Defensive Driving and the "Alive at 25" program. Both are one-day classes that will enable you to be more confident and safe on the highway. Each is offered regularly throughout the year.
